God, I'm Crying Out to You

A dear friend of mine wrote this poem...

God, I’m crying out to you and I don’t know what to do
I am restless and I’m dry won’t you listen to my cry?
don’t you hear me? please God, listen.

I believe that you are faithful
I believe that you are good
Now I come before you helpless
like a little child should

How I need you now to take my hand and guide me
from this scorching heat now Savior won’t you hide me?
do you hear me? won’t you listen?

God, I trust you though I cannot see
For I know you’ll do what’s best for me.
I look to you in faith, despite my weakness
and I’ll trust your sovereign hand though I can’t see it.

You are faithful and you’re loving
You’re my shelter; You are strong
You will light this path of darkness
though the night seems very long.

So, I’ll trust you though I cannot see.
I know you’ll do what’s best for me.
I look to you in faith, despite my weakness
and I’ll trust your sovereign hand though I can’t see it.
