Taco Meat Recipe

Tired of buying those little Taco Seasoning packs? Tired of all the chemicals and msg? Can't eat them because of the gluten/wheat they use in them? I cannot have wheat, but wanted to make taco meat for a meal I was making for some friends. My mom ('cause she's so amazing) found this recipe online. It tastes just like taco packets you buy in the store! Yum!

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. chili powder (more if you want it hot)
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 2 tbsp. paprika
  • 2 tbsp. dried onions
  • Enough water to cover meat

Combine ingredients in pan. Bring to poil. Simmer over medium low heat about an hour. Break meat up so it does not cook into lumps. Stir occasionally. Check water, add if needed, meat should stay moist.

Recipe says to cook for an hour. I cooked mine for around 30 to 45min. and it tasted great.
