I was just visiting the New Attitude website/blog. At the Na* conference all proceeds from the very cool Na t-shirts went to buy/provide wells for people in Uganda. They also sold bookmarks for $10. Each bookmark would provide a Bible for people in Uganda. Covenant Mercies & Sovereign Grace Ministries have a group of churches that they are friends with and serve in Uganda. They just released the final figures for what 3,000+ singles and young marrieds gave at Na 2008...
This year at Na we gave all the shirt profits to build wells in Uganda and then sold $10 bookmarks and gave the profits to send Bibles to Uganda. Your response was amazing. We raised $3,000 to build wells in Uganda and, get this, $19,000 to send Bibles to Uganda.
Wow! I am amazed at the kindness of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. It's only a work of the Spirit that would move a bunch of poor 20 and 30 somethings to spend $1,900 for Bibles. Isn't that amazing? Isn't He amazing?
